This animated title reimagines the logo for Tommy (1975), the film adaptation of The Who’s rock opera. The piece centers on a reinterpretation of the letter “o” as a radiant, sun-like form, referencing the imagery that opens and closes the film.
Rather than treating the logo as static, I used motion and light to emphasize the sun as both a visual anchor and symbolic presence. The animation draws from the bold, psychedelic aesthetics of the mid-1970s, translating the era’s color, glow, and energy into a contemporary motion language.
