This animated tribute was created during the 2023 holiday season for Brian Wilson’s Holiday Grab Bag Contest, which invited fans to submit creative holiday-themed posts inspired by Brian’s music and legacy. I animated the Little Saint Nick 45 record, transforming it into a visual homage to Brian Wilson’s lifelong motto, “Love & Mercy,” reimagined for the holidays.
The piece blends classic Beach Boys iconography with festive design elements. In the background, I designed a custom, traditional Christmas sweater pattern featuring surfboards and surfers — a playful nod to the band’s Southern California roots and surf culture. The animation balances warmth, nostalgia, and motion-driven storytelling to celebrate both the holidays and Brian’s enduring influence.
