Network Rebrand Exercise for The Criterion Channel

For this rebrand exercise, I reimagined the Criterion Channel’s identity by drawing inspiration from the

company’s iconic “C” logo. I created visual motifs that echo the logo’s structure while referencing the way modern projectors split and recombine light, akin to chromatic aberration.

The color bands act as rays of digital projector light, evoking the imperfections of analog film while converging to form the clean, iconic logo. This approach bridges classic cinematic techniques and contemporary digital aesthetics, honoring the Criterion Channel’s rich history while imagining its identity in a new era.
